My friend Brittany believe that she is addicted to shopping. She
says that whenever she feels depressed or disappointed, the neon

lights and large department stores of the local mall seems to draw

her right in. As she wanders around the department stores, displays

of stylish clothing catches her eye, and she starts to forget her

problems. On the racks in front of her hang the answer to her
5
problems. By the time one of the salesclerks offer to show her to a
6
dressing room, her mood has improved considerably. As she tries on
clothing, she begins to feel that a new dress or a pair of jeans are
7
just what she needs. Before she knows it, she is standing at the
register with an armload of clothes, and there are a charge slip or a

check in front of her waiting to be signed. As she walks to her car,
pleasure and satisfaction washes over her, and everything is right
9
with the world. But by the time she gets home, the logical part of
10
her mind have begun to take over. She realizes she has bought
unnecessary items and know she will be back at the store tomorrow to

return them.
