shared among virtual servers. Cloud computing enables these servers to be
shared with multiple users so that their location does not matter anymore, as
shown in Figure 1-1.

Figure 1-2 illustrates that cloud computing is a business model using old
technology (virtualization, servers, and disk storage) where ownership of
physical resources rests with one party and where the service users are
billed for their real use. An organization can even use virtualization for
internal customers, or an organization can subscribe to cloud services over
the Internet.
