BLUEBERRY MUFFINS
My dad gave me a recipe for blueberry muffins that he got many years ago from The Old Mill Restaurant. After making these muffins so often, I know it by heart, but I still like to look at the recipe card ,because it is written in his handwriting.
Whipping up a batch is easy, but sometimes there is a bit of a problem. I drop a blueberry or two on the floor, which happens to be blue with blue patches the color of blueberries. I need to shine light on the floor to find them before they are squashed by my foot. Similarly, the way I look at accepted cultural norms, such as education, entertainment and social media can be a bit blurred and I need to open God’s written word and find out what He says before taking a step in the wrong direction. “The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.” (from Psalm 19:8 NIV)
