"You are the peace in my troubled sea... You will carry me safely to shore"
What has been an example of "light" for me in this season? It was the feeling of warmth and comfort from spending time with three of my favorite people - my two best friends and my boyfriend. We left our houses early enough (around 3:30 am) to watch the sunrise at dawn on a gorgeous beach. We got there at the perfect time and watched the burnt orange sun peek up from the horizon. It gradually became brighter as it progressed higher into the morning sky.
Later, we came across a cute lighthouse and agreed that it would be the perfect photo location. All four of us had wanted to go to the beach for some time, and God really blessed us with the perfect weather to spend a day together. We made happy memories under the warm sun in God's beautiful creation. Being there, just sitting on the shore with the people I love, closing my eyes, and listening to the waves, reminded of His ultimately perfect peace. Peace can be such a challenge to find in the chaos of everyday life - especially during COVID-19, During this season, God's light has shown me the blessing it is to be with my friends and that He is truly the peace in my troubled and chaotic "sea". He is always there to carry me safe to shore.
