Almost 40 years ago, in
1983, the members of
The Clash and the band’s
closest friends found
themselves filming a
movie entirely directed,
conceived and paid for by
Joe Strummer. “Hell W10”
was filmed in the freezing
cold of Ladbroke Grove,
and it was a personal
project of Joe Strummer.

This silent movie, shot in
black & white and featured
band members, r oad -
crew and friends. A tale
of drugs and gangsters in
West London, it was filmed
when The Clash were sup-
posed to be on a break in-
between touring.
