After missing eight rounds of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series, Barcia cant be to disappointed with his 11th place finish in St. Louis. Since Justins return to the circuit from a hand injury he has improved each round. Barcia had to go through every race in St Louis to
qualify for the main event, after narrowly missing a direct transfer from his heat race. The JGR rider also made a mistake early in his semi that made Barcia head for the LCQ. The 51 machine has only been in a LCQ race a few times in his career and you could tell the Greenville, Florida rider was heated up from his costly mistakes in the heat and semi as he jumped out to the lead in his LCQ. Barcia got himself into a comfortable lead and started to have fun out on the track. Finishing LCQ victory with a classic Barcia whip over the finish for the fans. All of the time spent on the track may have helped Barcia decipher the technical St Louis track as he charged from outside of the top 15 to 11th in the main event.
