ELI TOMAC
Eli Tomac has been searching for any sort of momentum that he can gather after turning in some dismal results after his best performance of the year - a victory at the Daytona International Speedway. All
the fans and motorcycle media abound thought that was the spark that he needed to start regularly challenging for the podium, but going from 1st to 5th the very next week in Toronto is proof that he has a long way to go if he’s going to compete on the level that Ryan Dungey and Ken Roczen are currently
operating. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider hasn’t been doing himself any favors off of the starting gate. He fought his way from
the middle of the pack to salvage a top 5 in Detroit and scraped his way from the edge of the top 20 to finish 7th in Santa Clara. He finally started at the front in Indy and was on pace for his first podium since the win in Daytona, but a mistake in the middle of the race put him right back to the mid-pack struggle. Tomac desperately needs a mistake free race coupled with a decent start in order to gain some momentum
approaching the end of the season. Despite his Supercross struggles, he’s still one of the smart picks to challenge for t

year and he’ll be firing on all cylinders come Hangtown if he can put together some good results in the next 4 races.
