The battle for the 250 East Championship has been one of attrition so far and Hill’s injury is proof of how quickly things can change in this sport. He has struggled to stay fully healthy dating back to last season where he suffered a couple other concussions as well as a broken ankle at the San Diego Supercross. Things got worse during the 2015 outdoor season when he was landed on in the first moto of the 2015 Utah National and suffered a compound fracture to his pinky. A pinky finger may seem like an irrelevant injury from the outside looking in, but one less finger being able to grip the handlebars and operate the clutch can be a big deal for a professional rider. Justin Hill has proven that he has the speed to contend for the title, but the injuries that have plagued him over the past couple years have held him back from his true potential. He’ll be looking to make amends for having to pull out of the Supercross season when the outdoors kick off in May.
