JAMES STEWART
In the midst of a season to forget, JS7 is looking to come back in St. Louis after missing India- napolis. Well, it may be inaccurate to say that when he was, in fact, in attendance, although an ankle injury suffered during practice forced Stewart to remove his entry before the night show
began at Lucas Oil Stadium. Stewart had cross-rutted coming out of a rhythm section while qualifying on the gnarly course, thus aggravating the leg and adding another element to his year of constant recovery. Looking back at his season, the Yoshimura Suzuki of Stewart hasn’t seemed to have luck on his side. Since showing up at the highly anticipated opening round of Anaheim and suffering a concussion as he was forced to the ground by Dungey, who clipped Stewart right before the finish line on lap two of the main, James has lost the flow. It being his first year back after being suspended for the entire season of 2015, Bubba is yet to resume the racing rhythm and continues to seek the needed laps to make any sort of progress. Now after thirteen rounds, James has only posted points in four races thus far and fell far short of everyone’s predictions coming into the current year of racing. Week after week, the widely considered fastest man to ever race a dirt bike has continued to face unfa- vorable circumstances and this weekend was no different. Coming into St. Louis and round fourteen, it had been revealed in a recent interview with James that the incident in Indy actually resulted in a fractured ankle and hadn’t recommenced his normal routines since then. With a mere four rounds left, Stewey and the Edward Jones Dome crowd, together, were only hoping for laps this weekend from the luckless #7 bike.
