Martin Davalos seemed to be back to normal as he navigated the chewed up track in St. Louis. He qualified in the 5th position and would go into the Heat race ready to win. Davalos shot out of the gate in 250 Heat 2 and demanded the holeshot. He lost two positions early in the first lap but kept the pressure on the leaders. Martin made a last lap charge and was able to slip to the inside and pass Bowers back for 2nd position. He would go to the Main ready to get his second win of the season. Unfortunately, the start to his Main did not go as planned, as he cartwheeled down the straightaway while tangled with multiple riders. He somehow was able to pull himself up and continue riding. He was able to make some moves and pick up some positions quickly but he was very far back. As Jeremy Martin put Davalos a lap down mid race, the #49 was able to latch on to him and pass a few more riders by the end. Davalos finished up in 15th position in St. Louis. Look for Davalos to bounce back next weekend.
