Brayton started his morning off in St. Louis just like any other Saturday practice session. Brayton suited to the tacky dirt in the Edward Jones Dome and easily qualified inside the top ten going into the first daytime program of the year. He was ready and came out with a commanding holeshot in 450 Heat 1. He lost the position early to a very fast Roczen but he continued to put down clean laps. When the 450 Main began, Brayton was ready and shot out of the gate like a canon. He barely missed out on the holeshot and snuck in behind the leaders to maintain 3rd position. On lap 7, he was aggressively passed by Jason Anderson, and was booted off the track at the top of the triple lip. Brayton found himself laying in the dirt and rushing to get back on the bike. He got the KTM going again in 8th place but he immediately made another mistake which shuffled him back a couple more positions. He was able to salvage 10th position by the time the checkers flew but it was a hard fought race for Brayton. Look for Justin to come out with something to prove next weekend.
