Justin Starling had a great day in practice in St. Louis. He was able to finish a respectable 10th in the first practice and surprised many. He went into the day show with some much needed confi- dence. Justin got off to a great start in 250 Heat 2 and kept his focus forward. He came around the first lap in 5th place and pushed hard to stay there. When the Main began, chaos was anticipated and that is exactly what took place. A giant crash down the start straight claimed many riders but Starling was able to avoid the carnage. After 2 more laps of craziness, Justin had crawled his way up to 5th position and was on his way to a career best finish. He made his way passed one more rider and was running 4th position. Unfortunately on lap 8, Justin made a mistake and fell back quickly. He got back going in 9th position and pushed hard to stay in the top ten, but disaster struck again as he fell back to 13th with 3 laps to go. He was able to pick up and climb back to 11th with 2 laps to go and was working hard to get back into the top ten. Unfortunately, he slipped back again but was still able to put in a top 15 finish by the checkers. Starling showed top 5 speed but would eventually finish 13th overall in St. Louis.
