IX ROUNDS DOWN.
The 250 class isn’t as black and white as the 450 class -- a seemingly bottomless talent pool, vet-
eran riders pitted against young up-and-comers, and countless weekends of close racing -- there’s no clear-cut title favorite. A betting man would be tempted to put his money on Zach Osborne; the defend- ing champion who’s coming fresh off his second consecutive 250SX East title. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider is gunning to be the only 250 rider to win four titles in two years and he’s certainly capable of doing so, exemplified by his domination both indoors and out throughout the last couple of seasons. He’ll be facing off against defending 250SX West Champion, Aaron Plessinger, as well as the two-time 250 Pro Motocross Champion, Jeremy Martin. Those three may hold a slight advantage over their competitors due to their previous accolades, but there’s a handful of other riders in the 250 class that would claim themselves as the top gun heading to the season opener at Hangtown. Throw in one of the most promising crops of rookie talent that we’ve seen in the past couple of years and the 2018 250 Pro Motocross Championship is guaranteed to deliver.
