Traveling to any amateur na- tional on the tour, or any large regional race in the Southeast for that matter, and you will be quick to notice the large FMF rig that’s normally stationed somewhere in the pit area. A red, yellow, and orange hauler, filled with parts, stickers, and
a plethora of stories, is home
to the FMF crew; there to sell merchandise of their brand, and to assist riders in whichever way possible. The man assigned
to run the ship you ask? Or at least, play a major role in con- tribution, is Kyle Dangler. He’s a staple on the amateur tour, with as much knowledge about bikes and pipes, as almost anyone in
the business. But at the Moto- Playground event, hearing just how much fun it was to enter, he decided to sign up, and give the 35+ class a run for their money, seeing just how well he could do on a rough, rutted track. For the opening moto, Dangler found himself just a ways behind former professional standout, Dave Ginolfi. It was as almost as if the race took place back
in time, some fifteen to twenty years ago, with names like
these being announced over the intercom and fighting their way around the track. Dangler looked solid though, providing proof that he can talk about any pipe/silencer combination, along with putting the machine
to the test too. He would be in a bit of battle with both Ginolfi and Cory Brantley who was behind at first; yet find himself in the middle of no mans land once the race had sorted itself out. Running just near the two-minute mark, Dangler was all smiles with the white flag coming out, ready for the race to subside. He would push until the final lap, where he would come across the line in second. For moto number
two, Dangler’s goal was to pace Ginolfi a bit more than the last; and
he would do so, staying within the ten second radius for the majority of the moto. He aspired to have fun, and stay safe while doing it, so the goal list had been checked by the time the checkered flag had flown. With an ultra solid two-two effort on the day, he’d only been bested by Ginolfi, who was no slouch in the slightest. Overall, we were pleased to think that Dangler had fun at the event, judging by the camaraderie that was always around his camp and trailer. Cheers to you Kyle, and thank you for attending the event!
