Skying over each and every double on the raceway, his last bit of airtime on the final lap was a piece of realization; he knew he had the win, and could hardly control his excite- ment once crossing the finish line.
He hoped to duplicate the finish for moto two, but had the company of Branden Walther and Kaed Kniffing
to deal with, along with familiar foe Colten Eigenmann. He knew he and Eigenmann would be in a dogfight, looking to brawl from the moment the race started. Clicking all through the gearbox, he was using every ounce of power the machine had. There wasn’t any lack of effort by the Newark, Illinois resident, but it was just a tad bit too late in regards to overtaking the position from Colten Eigenmann. When all was said and done, he brought the KTM, covered in soil, to the podium area. His first and fourth place finishes would put him into second place overall, where he would actually tie for the lead. He would be back for more later on in the day, and look to keep his momentum going for the duration of the events entirety.
BRYCE HANSEN >> 3 Although Wisconsin may not be the most picturesque sounding spot for developing motocross talent, something must be in the water within the region, as riders like Bryce Hansen are really bringing the state and re- gion to light in the realm of our sport. Com- ing into Ponca City, many though Hansen could be a contender, but they just weren’t sure to what extent. But he would leave everyone in attendance knowing just who the number 201 Kawasaki pilot was by race end. Scores would be all over the board as this series played itself out, and to be in the front for overall scoring, one must be rela-
