3CARSON WITTMAN >>
The land of ten thousand lakes, plays host to numerous highly touted professionals on the AMA Tour. Dungey, the Martin Broth- ers, the list could go on and on, with many amateurs standing their shadows, looking to step out. One of the aforementioned on the rise, and as hot of a commodity as they come, is
that of Carson Wittman; a pilot who’s taking his machine to
new heights with every race he chooses to attend. The MotoP- layground Race at Ponca City was no different, as he signed up, and put his name in the hat for strong showings and multiple championships. Wittman came to the line for the moto, with the
most stoic, and solemn expres- sion, meaning nothing but true business. Third off the gate, he would eye the two leaders of Martin and Moore, looking to steal a bit of thunder with his raw speed. His talent was on display, as you could visually see him standing up through these ginormous ruts, rather than of beginner nature, and sitting on the seat for the entire duration of the circuit. It was
a pace that was hard to keep,
but if anyone could stay to the task, it was Wittman and crew. Running his fastest laptime on the final circuit of the moto, he wanted to leave a lasting impression on the field behind him. With his transponder registering him in third, he looked to stay strong once it was time for
a duplicate showing. The KTM would rocket out of the gate for moto number two, almost mimicking a young Ryan Dungey. Looking to hang onto third for the moto’s entirety, Wittman was riding at an exceptional pace. Pushing forward, despite the ultra hairy conditions the track presented, he would actually match the pace of second place on one occasion. Searching for better lines, you could see him zig-zagging back and forth, trying to find the smoothest line for his machine to fol- low. It was a performance that was taken in by all around, and with a pair of three’s he would throw down his cards, for an overall finish of third. Looking to take aim at any competitor from here on out, Carson Wittman is as dangerous as they come. Wittman shows tremendous promise for someone his age, and he can’t wait to get back behind the gate, as soon as possible. We wish you the best of luck, Carson.
