BRAYTONKREGLOW Loretta Lynn Amateur National Motocross Champion
It’s never easy to show up to the track and sweep every single moto; it’s even harder to show up to the Loretta Lynn Amateur National Motocross Champion- ship and sweep every single moto, but apparently no one told that to Brayton Kreglow. The young Floridian was one of the most impressive riders throughout the entire week of racing at the Ranch as he had spectators and industry heads alike buzzing with excitement. Rarely is the 51cc (4-6) Shaft Dr. LTD class about the rider with the most sound fundamentals and solid technique, but the 37th annual Loretta Lynn Amateur National Motocross Championship was different. The Yamaha rider is one of the youngest to train full-time at Matt Walker’s Moto X Compound and it’s more than evident that the rigorous training is paying off. Kreglow showcased speed and style that hardly seems possible on a PW50, scrubbing jumps to the best of his (and his bikes) ability all while maintaining picture-perfect form throughout. It was rare to see the Floridian sitting down at any point on the track as he was often standing up in an attack position -- toes pointed in, legs squeezing the bike, with his line of sight locked forward. Kre- glow had an exceptional week of racing at the Loretta Lynn Amatuer National Motocross Championship as he absolutely dominated all three motos. He easily pulled the holeshot in every single race, providing himself with a clear track that allowed him to set the fastest lap time in all three races as well, and he won all three motos by an average of more than twenty seconds. Kreglow is setting the bar high for himself as it’s going to be difficult to backup a performance of that magnitude in future appearances at the Ranch, but he undoubtedly made his name known on the national stage as he dominated the PW50 class on his way to the number one plate.
