Eli Tomac is a fierce competitor. Training with his father John Tomac (a three time mountain bike world champion) one can only imagine how gnarly the preparation is for Eli’s season. With endless talent on a motorcycle and the amount of vigorous work being put forth, its only a matter of time
before Eli Tomac is a 450 champion. We saw a glimpse of his potential last summer in the Lucas Oil Motocross series, where Eli won the first five moto’s of the season in dominant fashion. It looked as though he could not be beaten until a season ending crash took place in the sixth moto of the year. Coming into 2016, many thought Eli would be Ryan Dungey’s biggest threat. Receiving surgery to both of his shoulders while switching to an unfamiliar Monster Energy Kawasaki team, you can’t blame Tomac for starting the season slower than most anticipated. Although he seems frustrated in recent interviews and is working out the kinks of his new ride, the future looks bright for Eli Tomac. The more experience he gets on his new motorcycle, the worse it will be for his competition.
