Qualifying in fourth place in practice had the Factory Honda rider with a great gate pick for the heat race. The start didn’t go as planned as Canard was in 7th place after lap two. Trey made quick and aggressive passes to get into qualifying position, until he tucked his front end in the sand right next to the Factory Suzuki rider James Stewart. Putting the heat race behind him, the #41 took on the semi with a solid second place.
