JEREMY MARTIN
What shall we expect from the number six of Jeremy Martin during this year’s Supercross campaign? Making all main events? Contending for podiums? Battling for championships? If past results are any indication, we may be in
for a sinusoidal-type of wave from the Yamaha rider.
A two-time outdoor champion, Jeremy hasn’t discovered the positive correlation between motocross and Supercross success. Shorter races, little to no outside elements, and smoother terrain are all variables that SX stadiums don’t provide. With those options non-existent, coupled with the technicality of rhythmic layouts, the end equation doesn’t seem to translate well to Martin’s resume.
A smart move on both Bobby Reagan and Yamalube’s part, they’ve selected Jeremy to jump in waist-deep and join the tour for the 250 East Coast division. They’re hoping the tackiness and content of soil in venues such as Atlanta, St. Louis, and the infamous Daytona, will play into the hands of the Minnesotan. With a clean slate to begin, Jeremy hopes to rebound like Al Horford on the block.
