You have to wonder if Jeremy’s Supercross experiences were awakening when he lined the gate for the first 250 heat. The Yamaha rider seemed sleep deprived and lethargic for the first gate drop of the tour, and was
tremendously buried going into turn one. 13th at the end of the first lap, the traumat- ic replay’s of the past began to unwind inside Jeremy’s memory reel. Luckily he remained poised and slowly picked off rider after rider, resulting with a finishing position of sixth.
As the pin dropped for the main event, the herd of 250 riders swarmed into turn number one, where Jeremy Martin found himself near the front of the field. An eighth place on the opening grid was something the Star Racing could definitely deal with. However with the depth of competi- tion, Martin quickly realized he had no time to relax, and actually fell to eleventh by the end of
lap one. In ninth on lap four, Jeremy was slowing building steam and continuing to look ahead.
