Reed fans were not disappointed as the “thunder from down under” had an incredible start – Reed immediately started the main by battling with
Ryan Dungey who was moving his way through the pack. After Dungey slipped by him Reed held on to fourth place. From here he focused on finding a weak spot in Justin Brayton’s ride – by lap four Reed would zone in and make his pass on Brayton. From lap four, Reed would hold on to third place with a death grip – finding a comfortable space in between second place and the battles going on behind him. He would ride it out for the remainder of the race and get on the podium after one of his clean- est rides of the season.
