A disappointing night for the #314 of Alex Ray. After qualifying 21st overall of the night with a lap time of 50.079 Ray was hoping to put his Spider Energy Drink privateer Honda into the main event for the third time this season. The bad luck that has followed Ray all year long didn’t miss round 11 in Detroit. After finishing an impressive 8th place in his heat race it looked like Ray might be able to make the main event out of his Semi or LCQ. Unfortunately Alex was scored a DNS in his semi and heat race, indicating something went wrong. Most likely a bike issue as he did finish his heat race.
