It was a heart breaking night for Justin Brayton as he was on route to a fourth place finish until he got a flat tire on the rocky track in Detroit. With a 3rd in his heat race the #10 was headed directly to the main event. It was a KTM podium holeshot as Musquin and Dungey fought to the first corner, Brayton was right there with them. Justin
held a podium position for 6 laps until the speedy Jason Anderson made his way by. Withstanding pressure from Chad Reed for a couple laps Brayton managed to pull some distance on the factory rider and seemed to have his best finish of the season on lock. The BTO Sports rider pulled into the pits with 5 laps remaining for a tire swap but could only crawl himself back up to 18th by the time the checkers flew.
