JIMMY ALBERTSON
“Top Jimmy” is a favorite among the true fans of the sport for his personality, determination, and his
air wheelies. He’s easily considered a veteran of the sport, having been racing in the pro ranks since 2006. Albertson has been competing in the premier class since 2008, but he didn’t line up for a 450 SX until 2012. He has always been a solid main event finisher in the 450 class, winning numerous LCQs and celebrating
in classic ‘Ronnie Mac’
fashion. There’s not too many other riders in the sport that could epitomize the term ‘moto family’ more than Jimmy Albertson.
His brother Gregg works as his mechanic and his wife Georgia works as a pit reporter during the outdoor Nationals. Last year, they decided to put together their own team under the title sponsor of ARMA Energy Drink. Albertson rode a 450cc Yamaha and put in multiple top 20 finishes until he badly dislocated his shoulder in Indianapolis. The injury required surgery and unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to shake the injury bug since.
