One thing about being in the spotlight, you’re subjected to criticism from the masses. It seems to be that everyone yearns to associate with you when you’re on top, but when you began to descend and fall to the bottom, no one wants to know you.
The case with James Stewart is no different. The man who once wowed millions of viewers and broke numerous barriers, has now been labeled as “washed-up” or a quitter by many. So-called “fans” haven’t been too kind in discussion of the number seven in recent times, although the crashes he’s suffered have been excruciating and left him in severe pain.
On the other hand, many can see the beating he has taken, and understand the layoffs. This case should be no different, as respect for a true ambassador should be given, especially when he’s injured during competition.
Unfortunately James will sit out Detroit, a place where he has won in recent years. We hope to see him on the gate soon, as we all know the amount of “X” factor he brings when he chooses to toss his name in the hat.
