Here we go, another shot for the Carolinian to redeem himself, and put a string of positive laps together. As the doghouse director dropped the pin for the first 250 heat, McElrath dove furiously into turn number one. Running wide, he hit the opening rhythm section
in fourth, looking to advance. His hunger began to rise, as the aroma of Swiss cheese lingered (Arnaud Tonus). The smell heightened the taste buds, and in an instant, AT66 was gobbled; McElrath now sat third. Tucked between RJ Hampshire and the aforementioned Tonus, McElrath would secure the final podium spot, and head to the main event.
