>> What a totally thrilling night for Chillicothe, Ohio native Lane Staley. In a very competitive and completely stacked second heat race of the evening, the number 740 machine put up a good fight and finished in fourteenth place, five spots outside of a transfer position and he was headed towards the Last Chance Qualifier. Stakes were high in the second to last round and riders were desperate for a spot in the Main Event. As the gates dropped, Lane Staley immediately proved that
he was far from stale as he ricocheted into the first corner and found himself in an intense five-rider battle. The Team PR-MX.CA/Strikt/Pel- letier Kawasaki rider was in second place with Klippel right on his tail. By the time the checkered flag flew, Lane Staley finished in second place behind Miller and in front of Coates and Cartwright. They were all headed to the Main Event. Staley lined up his Kawasaki with the best and the Main Event was about to be underway. Hopefully Lane Staley could bring some of that fire that he showed in the LCQ along with him to the Main. Staley was riding solid at the start of the moto and by lap four he was sitting in nineteenth place, where he stayed until lap seven, where he started to lose positions. By the tenth lap, Lane Staley found himself in the twenty-first spot where he would stay until the end of the race. Lane Staley started out the evening strong and put on a very commendable Last Chance Qualifier ride, hope to see him in another exciting LCQ and Main Event at the next round.
