>> The young Venezuelan rider, Anthony Rodriguez has been riding solid for this 2017 supercross season with a best finish of 7th place. Facing some ups and downs throughout the year he has been able to hold onto a 10th in the points chase even after missing a race due to food poisoning. Coming into the second to last round of the season, Rodriquez qualified into the night show back in 17th not the exact position he was hoping to start the night in. Getting a decent start out of the gate for his heat race sitting back in 9th. Just barely inside qualifying position Rodriguez began to work his way forward through the crowd into a safer spot. In the short time of the race he was able to charge into 7th place and into the main event. Fighting hard on his way to the first turn Rodriguez was 10th off the start of the main event. He immediately made the pass on Mitchell Harrison for 9th place. In the midst of staying straight up throughout the tricky ruts all over the track, Kyle Cunningham was able to get by him sending him back into 10th place. As time ticked on Rodriguez was still sitting in the middle of the field but was beginning to close in on Mcadoo in front of him. With not enough time in
the race Rodriguez crossed the finish line in 10th. It wasn’t his best finish of the season but it was close and on the right track while heading into the final round of the season.
