>> Paul Coates had a rough season full of some brutal crashes. After a bad get off in Toronto he was forced to sit out a couple races due to a broken bone in his hand. The Trigger Racing just recently made his comeback a couple rounds ago in Detroit, he was just starting to get back into the swing things. Coming back stronger than before, Coates started the night out good getting a strong jump out of the gate in his heat race. Sitting right around 6th place he was well within a qualifying position. As the race continued mis- takes kept sending him back until before he knew it he was out of a transfer spot. Finishing his heat race of in 11th, he was forced to race the last chance qualifier. With one more shot at the main the Yamaha rider kept his head high and got himself another good start in the LCQ. He quickly passed up to 3rd where he would avoid the chaos happening behind him and transfer onto the main event. Unfortunately for him the good starts did not carry over to the main event, getting a bad jump out of the gate leaving himself back in 18th. With a lot of work to do and an extra race under his belt it was going to be
a long main event for Coates. A battle heated up between him and Joshua Cartwright where Coates was able to come out on top. He then moves up a position after Jerry Robin goes down. Then Keith Tucker makes a mistake and Coates jumped on the opportunity and moved into 16th. Before the end of the race, he gained one more pass under his belt and moved into 15th. Finishing off the last race on the east coast he was able to get an equal finish to his season best.
