Toni Elias has proven himself as one of the top contenders in MotoAmerica since making the trip across the pond back in 2016, remaining undefeated in the first two races as a member of the Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing team. The Cata- lan native’s career has really taken off on American soil since then and he’s been lauded for his drastic amounts of success in the early stage of the season. The 2018 Motul Superbike Championship has been no different as Elias started the season with a double win at Road Atlanta and backed it up with another race win at Circuit of the Americas. It was the first time that he has been bested at COTA in MotoAmerica competition, only adding fuel to the fire heading to the third round of racing action at Virginia International Raceway.
