Field made for some incredibly sticky, sloppy mud...and all the while Aaron Plessinger was sitting in the pits rubbing his hands together. The former GNCC racer is an absolute wizard in treacherous conditions and he had an exceptional amount of confidence that he could win it all. He made things look easy in his heat race and made them look even easier in the main event after pulling the holeshot, winning by more than thirty seconds ahead of second position. The Ohio native celebrated with an enthusiastic belly flop into one of the biggest mud puddles on the floor, soaking up the praise from the fans in fine style. He bested his closest championship rival, Adam Cianciarulo, by a couple of positions and gained points in the championship -- and Chase Sexton logged one of the best rides of his career so far, finishing second between the pair of them. In the 450 class, it turned out to be another exceptional ride by Eli Tomac as he dominated the competition and the conditions in both his heat race and the main event. The Kawasaki rider managed to stay on two wheels and keep his momentum rolling through the treacherous mud, and after a brief battle with Musquin and Anderson in the main event, he was gone. Anderson pulled the holeshot and looked as though he was going to check out at the beginning of the
