weren’t any major upsets in the 250SX East/West Shootout main event, but one of the big surprises was that the championship leaders on both coasts failed to make it onto the podium. Aaron Plessinger only managed a fifth place finish in the main event and Zach Osborne was only able to work his way
up to seventh place. Both riders found themselves buried in the pack after getting held up in the first corner and they were forced to scythe through the field for the entirety of the race. Nonetheless, Osborne didn’t lose much ground in the championship to Forkner
just as Plessinger didn’t lose much ground to Cianciarulo. Anyways, the man of the hour in the 250 class was none other than Jeremy Martin who was able to take his first supercross win of the season in fairly dominant fashion ahead
of Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo with Luke Renzland rounding out the box with his first career podium. In the 450 class, it looked as though it was going to be another impressive performance from Eli Tomac as he stalked Marvin Musquin for the lead in
the early runnings of the race, but another mistake from the Kawasaki
rider dropped him down the order. Meanwhile, Jason Anderson was caught up in a first turn melee
and was forced to make his way forward from the back of the field, eventually remounting to finish in fourth position. Although he lost some points to Musquin who won the race, he minimized the damage and still maintained a double digit lead heading into the thirteenth round of action in Seattle.
