Following the absence of Austin Forkner, the 250SX East title race turned into a showdown between Jordon Smith and Zach Osborne for the title. Both riders brought their A game throughout the day program at Gillette Stadium, but the defending 250SX East Champion seemed to have the upper hand. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider got off to a blinding start in the main event and ended up coming away with the holeshot; although Smith followed closely in second and kept him honest throughout the majority of the race as Jeremy Martin carved from dead last to fourth place, but Osborne ultimately took control of the race from the gate drop to the checkered flag. Meanwhile, Kyle Peters got JGR Suzuki their second podium of the season in the 250SX East division after tearing his ACL and MCL the week prior. The 450 class was two horse race between Eli Tomac and Marvin Musquin for the majority of the main event as Jason Anderson rode conservatively and protected his title hopes in third position. Musquin led almost the entire race, but a small mistake in the sand section as the laps wound down allowed Tomac to come within striking distance. The Colorado native picked his spot on the penultimate lap and forced his way into the lead, but the Frenchman was not to be denied a shot at the victory as
he executed a hard block pass on Tomac in a seemingly impossible manner. The two of them collided quite heavily as their bikes temporarily locked together until a twist of Musquin’s throttle dislodged them as he sped away at the front of the pack. The two of them had accumulated such
