It was a relatively uneventful main event from that point forward barring an incredible out-of-the-seat moment for the Star Racing Yamaha rider that must’ve spiked his heart rate twofold, but he kept his nerves under control for the remainder of the race and collected his first 250SX Championship. Meanwhile, Zach Osborne did enough to defend his 250SX East title and win his third championship in just two years running. The 450SX class was also a little bit anticlimactic in terms of the actual championship battle. Jason Anderson was battling food poisoning and did exactly what he needed to do to clinch his first premier class title as Marvin Musquin and Eli Tomac battled
for the lead. Their fight at the front of the field was the last thing on the mind of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider as he did his best to conserve energy all the way to the checkered flag, eventually crossing the line in fifth place to clinch the coveted and world-renowned AMA Monster Energy Supercross 450SX title.
