Stepping in as the replacement for the iconic 1299 Panigale which has long served as the top of Ducati’s supersport range, the V4 commences a revolution in the Italian motorcycle manufacturers production line.
A lthough the performance has been enhanced in comparison to previous years, it produces a more manageable power curve that favors rideability and caters to pilots of all skills levels; therefore, placing the main focus on enjoyability and excitement as opposed to the lingering
paranoia that you may twist the throttle a little too ar and end up on the pavement. The new Des- mosedici Stradale has been designed based on the experience learned throughout recent years in MotoGP, using the world’s pinnacle of motorcycle competition as a research facility for production.
It produces extraordinary power and torque values: the 90 V4 with a displacement of 1,103 cm3, the counter-rotating crankshaft and the four valves per cylinder with desmodromic distribution that reach- es 214 hp of maximum power at 13,000 rpm and 122 Nm of maximum torque at 10,000 rpm. In order to make it manageable to achieve optimal results, the brand new control electronics use the six-axis inertial platform data (6D IMU), making it possible to record extensive amounts of information as well as customize the behavior of the motorcycle to personal preference.
