Although lots of research and development went into fine tuning the ergonomics, Yamaha understands that everyone is different. Therefore, they have provided many highly tunable characteristics on the YZ65 in order to cater to the different sizes, preferences, and riding styles of the youth market. A four-position adjustable aluminum taper handlebar clamp, an adjustable position clutch and front brake lever, grippy footpegs, and a long seat design help to move riders comfortably from both ends of the bike. It may be the smallest of the YZ family, but the youngest brother still boasts the same aggressive, bold style as the rest of the bunch.
It may only be in the early stages of development, but the YZ65 is looking to be one of the most outstanding additions to the youth motocross market. It’s a bike that is capable of be-
ing enjoyed by younger and older riders alike, and it also serves as a great stepping stone between the ever-popular PW50 and onward. The sound of two-strokes is one thing that has become less and less prevalent at the motocross track in recent years, but have no fret -- soon a symphony of blue will be screaming a crisp, high-pitched melody at a local track near you.
