Trey had some decent momentum going into the main, qualifying straight from Heat 1 with a 4th (with a little help from Tomac). That momentum was cut short by starting 15th in the main. He was up to 10th by lap 9 when he ran into Friese right
after the tunnel jump. Vince was guarding the inside line, maybe a little more than half a bike length in front of Trey, going into the slick left hander. This was really the typical “too brave” Trey that seems to always get himself into trouble. He remounted in 17th and ended up catching and passing Brayton finishing 9th over- all. He had a very solid ride at SD2, and he clearly has speed. All he needs now is a good start and a clean 20 laps on two wheels and we’ll see him right up there again.
