Austin Politelli came into Arlington with a streak of main events and looked poised
to make another one. He would come out of qualifying practice with the 20th fastest
laptime and ready to mix it up in the night show.
Politelli got off to a mid pack start in the heat but managed to claw his way into 7th place early in the race. He would have battles with the likes of Dillan Epstein and Scott Champion but would ultimately settle into the 8th place position. Politelli would stay in that spot all the way to the finish and punch his ticket straight to the main event.
The main event saw Politelli get off to another average start and he would settle into 11th place after lap one. The racing was fierce and Politelli would go back and forth and battle to get inside that coveted top 10 but just a few laps in he would go down hard. The crash would be enough to sideline Politelli for the remainder of the main event. It was not the way he wanted to head into the break but you can bet he will be ready to rock and roll once the season returns in Santa Clara.
