COLE THOMPSON
Replacing the skates for tires, Thompson has been on the quest for professional stardom since 1996. Competing on both Canadian and American soil as a youngster, Cole won 28 AMA Amateur National titles and ten CMRC Amateur championships, even receiving the 2013
King of Walton title once turning professional.
But Cole has a training regimen that’s a little odd compared to most. On a strict diet consisting of poutine and back bacon, he actually prefers to race sled dogs in his offseason, feeling that it gives him an advantage if the SX series ever competes in a foot of powder. (Totally kidding, the kid trains year-round diligently and is in extremely good shape).
No stranger to success, Cole looks to hit his stride as the series begins to dwindle down. The amount of throttle control and precision he possesses looks to be in favor with the nature of the Dallas soil. With just a small spark missing, many feel as though Cole has a foundation to become a very successful professional and compete for podiums in no time.
