Placed in heat number two, Cole emerged from the initial bar-bang- ing left sweeper in tenth place. The timing of the Canuck allowed him to make quick work of his competition before the over under, and place him into seventh. A battle began to ensue with three to go, as he traded paint with fellow foreigner Hayden Mellross. With his naturally creative tendencies’, he slid past the Australian and
took sixth.
Thompson somehow found his way into sixth following the first turn of the main event, and eyed a season best finish by race end. Eighth on lap three, Cole was in the
midst of the series leaders and ready to hold his own.
