Jeff Alessi started his day off with a 25th in qualifying. Jeff would set his sights on getting into the Main. In the
Heat, Jeff was only able to salvage a 12th place. The Semi was a similar story, where the #801 would only reach 8th place. In the LCQ, Jeff would put on a show for the fans, battling for transfer position. He had 4th place locked down for most of the race, until
a couple mistakes put him into 5th. A last lap effort would fail to get Jeff into the Main. The Honda rider would forget about Texas and
set his mind on the next round.
