With the changing of names in recent years from “Stock” to “Lim- ited”, many who are unaware in the crowd, may be under the impres- sion that there is a certain restric- tion in skill. It’s quite the contrary however, with many of these
pilots merely using this class as a stepping-stone to the bright lights of stardom. With laptimes often time rivaling, if not bettering the profes- sional divisions, these competitors are an abundance of energy, ready to sprint from the moment the first engine comes alive. The rev limiters were ringing from the moment the referee signaled to begin the first heat, as the 250 B Limited division was underway. Dive-bombing into the first turn, the field had to sort themselves out through the tightly woven complex of jumps. The card drawn from the stack, to begin num- ber one, turns out to be a number 13, of Tyson Johnson.
