KILPATRICK
He inherits the lead at about
the halfway point, over Caro-
lina conjunction of both Luke Neese and Caleb Carter. Feeling at home on this hard-packed terrain, Johnson’s throwing his every so stylish flick with every opportunity; letting the swingarm soar into the wind over the fence line triple. He goes onto win, followed by Neese, and Carter. For round number two, it’s the Cairo, GA transplant of Marcus Phelps, pushing the pace in the early going. He loved the feel- ing of being out of chaos, truly flowing with grace in the series
of bowl turns. He would hold steady, although Jesse Flock would march forward, setting the fastest lap time of the moto, on lap 5. Just narrowly missing the win at the stripe, it would end up Phelps, Flock, and Trey Fegert strong in third. It was now time for the fans to hang onto their hats and glasses, as a whirlwind of moto scores had arrived. Stilez Robertson, who had a difficult outing in the first head, could only muster a ninth, and consequent lackluster gate pick. He wouldn’t let that deter anything, however, as the Kawasaki exploded off the metal pad. He wasn’t there to mess around, proving he could withstand the pressure the big- bike classes had to offer. Throw- ing down the heater of the moto on lap three, he continued to pull, while Jesse Flock would begin
to readily creep on Luke Neese who sat second. Robertson, nodding his head in unison past the mechanics area, knew had it in the bag on the white flag. He crossed the line for the final time, knowing that he had established his presence. Flock, as strong
as ever, would bring home silver, and Luke Neese the bronze.
