KILPATRICK
come to fruition, taking the win, with Mitchell Falk in second. Derek Drake seemed to be the man to beat, in the early stage of moto two, putting together a solid performance at the head of the field. Meanwhile, Kobusch and Falk were dicing it up for second, Halpain was sixth, and Garrett Marchbanks fourth. This moto seemed to come down to experience, and not necessarily meaning time on the 450. It seemed as though, the winner would come from the man who’s most comfortable in the lead, feeling the pressure of the number one spot. Who could that be, you ask? None other than Garrett Marchbanks, the Coalville, Utah native who’s won countless titles. The number 282 would stalk the prey of those just ahead, waiting until the last possible second to make his final pounce. It would work, as a mistake by Falk, propelled the 282 into victory lane. He proved, that the only lap needed to be led, was the last. He showed that he’s able to remain calm under pressure, not overwork himself when things aren’t going his way. Now, making his name in the pro class, Marchbanks seemed to be taking the proper steps, to a solid professional career.
