of sound, longing to stand atop the podium come week’s end. With the commencement of
the first heat’s, each and every rider on the roster pegged their machine to the hilt, sliding as though on ice into the first corner. With variables being tossed
into every single inch of track,
it was a matter of willpower to see who came across the stripe first. Dipping into the mid 1:06’s, Hammaker wasn’t here to play around. But man, could he at least have one heat where both he and Brown weren’t together? These two were inseparable, always together on the track every you looked. Hammaker, a true testament to his will, would hold off the number 63 for the duration of the moto, taking the win, Brown, second. The second heat, saw Flock pull the holeshot, but fall to the train of Shimoda, Swoll, and Phelps. It was the number 47 Honda who had the fastest way around the track, pushing anyone in his way, to the banners. The team managers, impressed to say the least, gave him a gigantic pat on the back once leaving the protest pit. Shi- moda, taking the win over Swoll and Phelps, looked to damage come runoff time. It was Brown, however, who dashed off the line as if he’d stolen everything Stilez Robertson had in his possession. Soaking up the suspension over every measly pothole, he was gaining time in milliseconds. It would accumulate, over the test of the moto, each lap, pulling just a bit further on the reel, in which was Stilez Robertson. Robertson, the fisherman knowing he was about to be sunk, reluctantly gave in, and let the prize of Brown back into the water. It was all he needed, as he would claim yet another victory, and smile for the picture on the podium.
