Looking through the history books, and scanning towards years past in this division, you are quick to find names of large significance. Patterson, Fiolek, Hampshire, you name them, and they’ve competed here. As a staple on the tour, it’s critical to place well here, if you want to be taken serious as a contender for the upcoming season. And with riders traveling far and wide to have the chance to compete in this historic event, you know everyone on the line was ready and willing to bring their “A” game. The name of Daniela Guillen stood out to many as she rolled onto the launch pad, and her speed on the track made everyone reassured why. Her precision around these bowl turns, merely missing each tuff block by inches, carried her speed through each particular portion of track, never missing a beat in the process. Lugging the bike a gear tall, she was remaining tacked to mother earth, while many were sliding due to too much aggressiveness. It was applaud worthy to say the least, and as she took the win for moto number one, she knew it was well deserved. If only she could repeat the process for the next round, the title would be hers. Mikayla Nielsen and Laina Randolph knew they had their work cut out for them in the next moto. For the second lineup of the division, it was Mikayla Nielsen who got out to an early lead, but a huge mishap on lap two would push her back to eighth, and out of contention for the moto win.
