then took over reigns for the lead, and Laina Randolph would follow suit. Setting the fastest lap of the moto on circuit three, the 1:19 time was unbelievable in comparison to the other women in her class. Pulling absurd amounts of time, with her effortless grace around this slick, glass type soil, she knew that as long as nothing catastrophic happened in these last few laps, that she would be good to go. She remained focused, not getting cocky or overly aggressive, nursing the KTM home in the final few turns. And as she came down the final straight away, she’d realized the championship was her for the taking. The screams were being echoed from outside her helmet. What better way than to start the holiday festivities, than with a signature win and title!
