Ben LaMay has been extremely busy here in 2016. He kicked off the year racing the AMA Amsoil Arenacross series on a Honda 250f. It was his first time dropping down to the 250 machine in a number of years and he did quite well. After the Arenacross season ended, he was yet to have a deal lined up for the outdoor series and was presented with a unique opportunity; to race the Costa Rican National
Championship. He accepted and would ride a KTM 450 throughout the series. Then just a few weeks later he accepted a deal with BLUE Buffalo/Slater Skins Yamaha team to race our outdoor series. He jumped on that deal as well as the Costa Rican series only races about once per month. LaMay has done well in all series’ that he has competed in this year despite hopping from bike to bike and team to team. You could say he is like the Swiss Army knife of racing. Last week at Red Bud he performed the best he has all year with a season best sixteenth place finish. He will have to keep that momentum going in Costa Rica as that series resumes this weekend forcing him to miss the round at Southwick.
