With how obscenely stacked the top ten of the 250 class is, it’s a miracle that anyone can gain any ground having a start outside the top ten. Osborne did his best to make that magic happen, but only so much can go your way when you’re back in all of that chaos. He managed to make it up to eighth in that first moto. Bad luck struck again with eight minutes left in moto two. Osborne in sixth was all over Savagty right in the middle of a Pro Circuit / Star yamaha sandwich. Osborne looked like he had fifth in the bag, until he got hung up by the slower Savagty in a corner and the sand swallowed up his front tire. He was able to recover for seventh, one place better than moto one resulting in seventh overall.
